School of Media, Culture and Creative Arts

Welcome to the School of Media, Culture and Creative Arts at Curtin University. The School offers three undergraduate degrees, the Bachelor of Arts (Media and Information), Bachelor of Arts (Communication and Cultural Studies) and the Bachelor of Arts (Mass Communication). In addition, students can select from a range of Postgraduate courses.
The School is comprised of five departments:

In an age of information overload, the world needs graduates who are information literate at an advanced level and who are able to locate, capture, retrieve and critically evaluate information.

Internet Studies

Internet Studies is about the human dimension of the Internet: how people network, interconnect, and creatively design the Internet.

Curtin Journalism has enjoyed an outstanding reputation over many years for preparing students with the skills, understanding and professionalism necessary for a career in the media industry.

Curtin's Mass Communication degree is one of the most flexible degrees, allowing students to combine and explore passions for media, design and / or business.

 

On the side

Elissa Down, a Film and Television graduate from 1999, had her first feature film "The Black Balloon" released nationally in 2008 to rave reviews, and it was launched at the Berlin Film Festival.
